I love LOVE.  I like seeing people who are in love, I like to feel love, I like to show love.  Today I was thinking a lot about what love is to me.  How do I like people to show love to me?  What means the most to me?  The 5 Love Languages is a book all about these questions.  I have yet to read the book, but I know a lot about the love languages, it really interests me.  So today I took THIS QUIZ.  These are my results:

So there you have it.  This is how I love and want to be loved.

Love is on my mind a lot these days.  How do I even know when I'm in love?  How can I make a decision about who to marry and who to love for eternity?  Then this cute girl showed me this great talk.  This talk taught me a lot and I really appreciated it.  So until the time comes for that big magical day that is hopefully in my future sometime, I will do my best and enjoy the journey.  Then one day someone will give me my fairytale.  Something similar to the magicalness of this, something a friend of mine did.  He's in love:)  How is this a bad plan?  I love love:)

Times are Tough

The past summer has been a tough one for me.  I learned a lot about life and about myself.  School came and I feel like things only got harder.  I've learned that I don't know a lot about the human mind.  Why do some people do what they do?  Why do they make choices that hurt themselves and the people who love them?  I've also learned that I don't know why I make plans...They always change anyways!  I had a lot of things that I really looked forward to, now some of those things are changing a bit.  I learned that the world is cruel.  The world is evil and has evil people.  I hate that evil things are so easily accessible and that evil is all around trying to lead people away.  I learned that I trust people easily, I love people easily, and I don't like causing hurt in anyone's life.  I learned that I can lose dear friends quickly.  I learned that people are not always as forgiving or understanding as I would like.  I'm still learning how to deal with heartaches that are inevitable, trials that are there to help us grow, and decisions that are scary and outcomes that are unknown.

I'm also learning that I have more faith than I thought I did.  I'm learning about My Savior's Atoning sacrifice for me and He invites me to come unto Him.  He can heal us.  I'm learning that some people will be there for me, through thick and thin, no matter what.  I'm learning that a little hope and one little light in the dark can go a really long way.  I'm learning that I need to trust, and when I can trust, I will get the happily ever after I so deeply desire.  Knowing this doesn't make the trials any easier, but it makes the endurable.  It makes the tears shed, the heartaches, the lonely times, the dark times, and the fear worth it.  There is hope.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.  So come what may and LOVE IT!

Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days.  D&C 24:8

Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God... I am the light which shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not. D&C 6:21

Today's Pick Me Up

For the last little while I've had a lot on my mind.  There's been a lot of changes and a lot of stress.  I hate school; I hate my classes and I don't like Utah State.  I feel super stressed and really sleep deprived all the time.  I'm poor.  I don't have much of a social life.  I don't like working in the admissions office.  I don't like not being able to see Curtis.  I don't like my flaws and my faults.  But today in institute, my scriptures fell open to a verse I needed to see.  It was a simple verse about the atonement.  How my Savior bears my iniquities and knows my sorrows and heartaches.  My Savior knows how I feel.  And that is what I needed today.  There is help and there is light at the end of the tunnel!  Boy am I grateful for This Gospel!  So I decided to be done with this stupid negative attitude I've been lingering on.  I WILL make the best of this semester and I WILL be happy.  Today is a good day.  I GET to go to school and I GET to go to work.  And at the end of a long day, I get to go be with Curtis.  How can this be a bad plan?  :)

The good old summer time...and the beginning of shool.

I'm a bad blogger. I haven't posted since May!!! That is way too long! The summer was FAR too short! And so so much has happened! This summer was very magical! I learned a lot about myself and a lot about close friends and loved ones. I grew apart from some friends, and so close with others. I have really great friends who I am so thankful for. This summer I gained one very special friend. This friend helped me more than he knows. This friend is also my new boyfriend! And he is so cute and wonderful! We did plenty of wonderful things together. We went dancing, we went to the pool, we went on hikes, we went on a horseback ride, and we even went to Bear Lake. We spent a lot of nights together, enjoying the weather and each others company. We laughed together. I cried and he let me;) It feels nice to have a best friend:)
Unfortunately, my magical summer had to end. Now I'm back in school. And I don't love it. I miss Snow College. I miss the small town and the turkey smell. I miss the small campus and friendly faces. I miss my wonderful roommates. I miss my job and the Noyes building!
I live at home now, and it is tough. I love being at home I really do! But I miss being on my own! And I have a very tough schedule. I feel like all I do is homework! But it's just busy work! Nothing that will help me! I suppose I'll get used to it though. I always do:)
Work is good though, still the admissions office. And I'm also babysitting on the side. A wonderful, cute baby boy! He's great...usually;)
That's all for today! But I'll try to post more often!

New Job

I have a new job. I'm so thankful to have a job! This summer I'm workin in the admissions office at Utah State. Right now I'm doing data entry....and I only have one word to say about that: BORING!!! But on the plus side, I basically get to choose my own hours. I never have to work past 5 PM and I never have to work on Saturdays or Sundays! And, it's VERY easy. I sit at a computer all day. The first day went a little something like this:

Whitney wanders by herself into the so called "Cave". Everyone in the Cave is talking and laughing. When Whitney walks in, everyone stops and looks at her and she says, "Hi Bonnie, I'm here for training." Then, there was silence. So Bonnie sat Whitney down and started explaining.
"When you first come in, log onto banner with your A number and password. Log onto banner, oh wait, you don't have a thing yet, Joy will get you one. There are such and such amount of programs on banner you'll work with: listing of all the programs here. Today you'll learn SRAQUIK. First, type the person's last name, first name. Hit tab. If nothing comes up, hit Ctrl Q then F9. Tab over and start typing their name followed by a %. Hit F8. Then Ctrl Q again, then Cntrl Pgdn, tab like a thousand times, ctrl q this tab that. shift F7...and Whitney got lost in the key commands!

Wow! I even took notes...but boy was it intimidating! But I'm glad to say that now I'm a whiz at the so called SRAQUIK program. I still have so so much to learn! But now I at least know there is hope! So is my job very boring and monotonous? Yes! But I actually kind of like it. i find myself getting into this sort of groove, and before I know it the time is passing! My shoulders ache ever day from sitting at a computer for so long...but it's not too bad! It'll be a nice summer job. I'll save me some good money...and work good hours. Perfect for still wanting to have summer fun, which I am greatly looking forward to! My new job=a good summer job:)

School's Out For Summer!!

Wow! I made it! I graduated from Snow College!
It feels so good to be done! And my graduation day was amazing! I got to be with some of my best friends and we had so much fun! Our cute, amazing boss got us all beautiful flowers and we were lucky enough to line up at the very front of the processional. We walked into the gym and I spotted my great parents smiling at me from the stands! Elder Jeffery R Holland was our commencement speaker and he did an amazing job! And I am proud to say that my coworkers and I were the very first of all the grads to walk across the stage and have our names read! After that was all done, the great PLTs had a little luncheon and then we all got to meet Elder Holland. He was seriously one of the nicest men I have EVER met! And his wife was SO CUTE!! I got my picture taken with him (unfortunately I don't have my camera so I can't post that Picture!) and my family got to meet him.
Then is was time to say goodbye. I didn't really have a hard time saying goodbye to my best friends...I KNOW I'll see them again. And a lot of them will be coming up to Utah State next year:)party right? I was packed up and ready to go in no time! The hardest part for me was saying goodbye to my great job at the Noyes Building! I nearly cried when I had to turn my keys in! But it was okay. I teared up a little as we pulled out of town. But I was ready. I was ready to say goodbye to that place for a while!
Now I'm all moved in at home. I have my own room now...something I've never had before. I have a desk, all to myself. I have a dresser, all to myself! And boy is it nice to be home! I get real bored, real fast, but it's all worth it! This summer is going to be good...I can feel it!
I can't wait to lay out in the sun. I can't wait to go to the pool for a day! I've already jumped back into the lovely game of babysitting. I plan on going boating and camping. But mostly I plan on just chilling. Taking it easy, having no cares in the world! It's gonna be great!
